Camp 2007 - A BIG Success

We are back from a week-long blessing of summer youth camp! What a great time! We had great singing, great preaching and great eating. WOW!!!

Bro. Tim Summers, Assistant Pastor at Twelve-Ryan Baptist Church in Warren, MI preached the evening sermons and Pastor Hugan preached in the morning. The young people were given challenging insight throughout the whole week. There was also a lot of fun. From team competition to just clowning around, the young people had a great time.

We would like to thank all of the adults from some of the churches that were represented that came to camp to be counselors, coaches and cooks! You all did a great job!

Check out the FRMBC picture album for Camp 2007 at Camp 2007 Pictures
More pictures will be added over the next week.

Staying Safe

I saw this on another web site.

Staying safe in the world today

  1. Avoid riding in automobiles because they are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents.
  2. Do not stay home because 17% of all accidents occur in the home.
  3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks because 14% of all accidents occur to pedestrians.
  4. Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water because 16% of all accidents involve these forms of transportation.
  5. Of the remaining 33%, 32% of all deaths occur in hospitals. Above all else, avoid hospitals.

You will be pleased to learn that only .001% of all deaths occur in worship services in church, and these are usually related to previous physical disorders. Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is at church!

Bible study is safe too. The percentage of deaths during Bible study is even less.

For Safety's Sake - Attend church and read youR Bible...It could save your life!

Getting Ready For Camp!

Ten days from today there will be a crew of people heading out on a week-long excursion to Bethel Youth Camp, in Hawks, Michigan. Final preparations are being made for this fantastic week of spiritual growth and exciting fellowship. We need coolers to get the food up there, so if we can borrow yours, bring it to church this Sunday. The ladies have been busy purchasing food for camp and we'll need plenty of coolers and boxes to fit it all in.
We're getting in some of the forms from the churches. It looks like we might be a little low in number this year, but we'll give all who come a first class youth camp!

July 4th Picnic was GREAT!!

We had a great time at the July 4th service & picnic!
After a challenging message from Pastor, we enjoyed great food and great fun during a wonderful day of fellowship with the members of FRMBC. The Lord blessed with clear skies and a bit of a breeze, though it was pretty hot. The temperature was almost as hot as the volleyball competition! Some folks even stayed around and we got pizza in the late afternoon, early evening and played some indoor games. Then some of us went to see some spectacular fireworks.
Thanks to everyone who attended the service and the picnic!

The Great Need of Our Nation

America’s government is a republic , a representative rule by law. America’s government is also based upon public opinion.

The only hope for America is to change public opinion. And the only thing that can change public opinion is the Word of God. We have got to get the Bible out.

Christians are not going to out-argue those who are against Christianity. They are blind, selfish, and full of greed. Instead, we are to persuade these people. We are to be taking them one at a time and winning souls to Jesus Christ.

It is not political influence that we need. It is the power of God that we need.
